By accessing this website or purchasing any product from Carbon Standard Research LLC ("Carbon Standard," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the site or purchase any material.
Research Use Only. All products are sold solely as reference materials for qualified laboratory research. They are not for human consumption, animal consumption, food, cosmetic, diagnostic, or therapeutic use.
No Medical Claims. Nothing on this site constitutes medical, therapeutic, cosmetic, diagnostic, dosing, or administration advice.
Eligibility. You represent that you are at least 21 years of age, that you are a qualified researcher or authorized purchaser acting on behalf of a laboratory or research organization, and that you will handle all materials in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Account & Access. Access to product catalog, pricing, and Certificates of Analysis requires an authenticated account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Orders & Acceptance. All orders are subject to acceptance by Carbon Standard. We may decline, cancel, or limit any order at our sole discretion, including where documentation, jurisdiction, quantity, or intended-use signals are inconsistent with a laboratory research purchaser. Pricing and availability are subject to change without notice; obvious pricing errors may be corrected prior to acceptance.
Payment. Online payment processing is currently pending activation. During this period, checkout is temporarily unavailable and no online payments are collected through the site. Once activation is complete, accepted payment methods will be displayed at checkout and processed by a third-party payment provider under its own terms.
Shipping & Title. Domestic standard and expedited options are offered at checkout when payment is active. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. See our Shipping Policy for details.
Returns & Refunds. Because materials are supplied as reference standards, returns are limited. See our Refund Policy for the full process, including lot-related concerns.
Checkout Acknowledgement. At checkout, you must affirmatively acknowledge that (a) all materials are purchased strictly for laboratory research, (b) you are 21 years of age or older, and (c) you have read and agree to these Terms and the Compliance policy. This acknowledgement is recorded with your order.
Prohibited Use. You will not resell, redistribute, relabel, or represent any Carbon Standard material as intended for human or animal consumption, medical use, dietary supplement use, or any use inconsistent with Research Use Only status.
Intellectual Property. All site content, branding, product photography, and documentation are the property of Carbon Standard Research LLC or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties. Materials are provided "as is" for laboratory reference purposes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carbon Standard disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carbon Standard Research LLC and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use or misuse of any material outside its stated research purpose. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the material at issue.
Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Carbon Standard from any claim arising out of your handling, storage, use, resale, or disposal of any material in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
Changes to These Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or placement of orders after posting constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
